Nope! We’ll guide you through the writing process and provide developmental and technical editing. Think of your chapter as a long-form blog post and we will help make it shine.

How long does my chapter need to be?

Chapters are typically 2,500–3,500 words. We’ll provide you guidance to help you structure your message so it’s clear, compelling, and aligned with the book’s theme.

Who owns the rights to my chapter?

You retain the copyright to your work. Eaton Press holds exclusive publishing rights for 2 years to include your chapter in the book and related materials.

Do I get to approve edits?

You’ll have the chance to review and approve developmental edits. Technical edits and formatting are handled by the publishing team for consistency and quality.

Will there be an audio version?

Yes! We will publish to Audible using Audible's AI Voice. This will provide the best audio experience for listeners.

If I’m paying to be in the book, am I automatically accepted?

Not quite. While this is a paid opportunity, author participation is by application and invitation only. We carefully review each applicant to ensure their expertise aligns with the book’s topic and that their chapter will offer meaningful value to our readers. We also limit topic overlap and cap contributors at 15–18 to give each author clear visibility and credibility. Our goal is to create a powerful, cohesive book—not just a collection of voices.

Why is there an application fee?

There is a minimal $50 non-refundable application fee to ensure only serious authors apply and that they understand to participate there is an additional investment.

Is there a cost to participate?

Yes. There is a $50 non-refundable application fee that reserves your spot plus each author makes an all-inclusive investment to be part of the book. This covers writing support, editing, publishing, marketing materials, project management, and participation in the virtual and in-person launch events.

Why is there a fee to participate?

The fee covers publishing expenses such as: a professional copy editor and cover designer, creating print and ebook versions, as well as creating sales pages on multiple platforms (including Amazon). The fee also covers the launch party, marketing assets, and developmental editing services, all of which combine to ensure that you are part of a highly professional and carefully curated book that will be an asset to your professional growth.

Will I get a copy of the book cover with my name on it?

Yes, you’ll receive a personalized cover graphic for social media and email promotion (not for publishing or Amazon use).

What is the time commitment?

You’ll write your chapter, attend two training sessions, complete a short author interview, and support the launch with a contact list and a few social shares. The writing process is the most time intensive and typically takes 2-4 hours.

What if I want to participate but can’t attend the in-person launch event?

No problem! The in-person launch is optional. All authors will be featured in the virtual launch, receive full marketing support, and still get the same visibility and benefits from the book. You won’t miss out on any of the impact.

Can I use my chapter as a lead magnet?

Yes! You can share your chapter with leads, clients, and referral partners to build authority and generate business.
